Plastics Manufacturing Applications of BellHawk

BellHawk has been used in a wide range of plastics manufacturing applications, including:

• Tracking the molding of safety glass lenses and goggles
• Tracking the making of rolls polypropylene film
• Tracking the mixing of resin pellets to get color matched plastics
• Tracking the making of plastic pellets from source materials
• Tracking the reprocessing of waste plastic into pellets
• Tracking Gaylords of virgin plastic
• Tracking use of regrind and its mix with virgin plastic.

BellHawk is ideal in these applications as it can track parts by count as well as by weight.

BellHawk can estimate the quantity of raw materials drawn from each Gaylord and then correct for the actual usage when the Gaylord is weighed. BellHawk can then track finishing operations, as well as the picking, packing and shipping of finished product to customers.

BellHawk can also track the amount of waste plastic, such as in sprules and scrap parts, and then track the conversion of this material into regrind.

Where needed, BellHawk can be integrated into the molding machines, and into process lines used for post-processing, to feed production parameters and automatically record processing parameters.
