A critical part of any systems implementation or systems integration project is the development of a specification for the work to be performed along with a description of how the system will work operationally. This specification can then be used to develop a schedule and budget for the implementation of the technology solution.
These specifications are typically developed as a result of client-funded systems design studies, which are usually performed or led by Dr. Peter Green. Dr Green, who is the Chief Technology Officer for BellHawk, has led the implementation of over 100 systems. He is an interdisciplinary expert who understands both industrial business problems and the software and hardware technologies that can be used to solve them.
In these studies Dr. Green works closely with the client's operational and IT staffs to devise a solution that will result in the rapid implementation of the most cost-effective solution.
BellHawk Systems can provide systems installation and setup services or can guide and assist the client's IT staff members in this process. BellHawk Systems' staff also works with clients' operations people to assist them in setting up or importing data such as the item master parts list. Then BellHawk Systems can provide training in the use of the tracking system, either remotely over the Internet, or on-site. BellHawk can then provide on-site support for go-live to hand-hold new users and assist with correcting mistakes they may make. Finally, BellHawk Systems provides on-going support to each client's IT staff, usually on a remote basis by Email and telephone.
Once our clients have a pilot installation of BellHawk up and running, many clients find that they need two additional types of services from BellHawk Systems:
Customization of the BellHawk software to tailor its application to the client organization's specific business needs This typically starts out with the writing of a detailed specification by the client or as a client-funded activity by a BellHawk staff member. BellHawk then provides a firm fixed-price for performing each customization and, after client approval, the customizations are made, tested, and sent back to the client.
The implementation of automated data exchange interfaces to ERP, accounting, CRM and other systems, to avoid manual data exchange using Excel spreadsheets or duplicate manual data entry. These interfaces are typically developed as a cooperative team effort between BellHawk staff members and consultants who are knowledgeable about the database internals and the external interfaces to the ERP, accounting or other systems to which BellHawk is being interfaced. These interfaces are typically implemented using the Bell-Connector SDK interface toolset to minimize the time and cost of developing the interface.
A critical part of systems implementation is project coordination. These projects require close coordination between the client's team and the BellHawk staff members who work as a team to implement these systems. This coordination is the responsibility of Emily Green, who is the President of BellHawk Systems and an expert in coordinating implementation teams.
Emily is also responsible for the provision of installation, training and support services, which are critical to the successful operation of these systems. Here Emily works closely with each client's management team to ensure that they have the resources available for successfully going live and for on-going system's support.
