BellHawk Solution Delivery Process

BellHawk Systems can deliver complete turnkey solutions or it can work as part of a client's team to provide the software and services needed for client's to implement their own solution.

BellHawk Systems specializes in providing the systems design and software components of the solution. BellHawk Systems then teams with local equipment and services providers, if needed, to deliver complete business solutions for its clients.

.A client engagement typically starts with a determination of the problems that a prospective client is trying to solve. This is typically done by telephone conferences and having the prospective client fill out a questionnaire. From this, BellHawk Systems will develop a preliminary proposal with an estimate of the budgetary costs to solve the clients' problem.

This proposal will include the standard software modules to be used, proposed barcode, RFID and wireless mobile data collection equipment to be used and an estimate of the cost of the services needed to assist the client in implementing the solution.

After management has approved the budget for the project then:

  1. If this is a small project, using primarily standard software modules, BellHawk Systems will perform any needed customizations and then ship the software to the client for installation. BellHawk Systems will also arrange for a local equipment reseller and a local IT services organization to work with the client to provide the needed equipment and support services for systems installation.

  2. If this is a larger, more complex, then the client will need to contract with BellHawk Systems to develop a detailed specification for the customizations needed to the standard BellHawk software modules. This is so that BellHawk can provide a firm fixed price for the customizations and also so that it has developed the detailed requirements for its offshore software team.

  3. Once the system is installed, then BellHawk Systems can arrange for consultants to come to the client's site to help with data setup as well as with training and user "hand-holding," as the system goes live. Alternately, clients can perform this task themselves using documentation and training materials available on the BellHawk website.

  4. The BellHawk software comes with a free data exchange interface, which can be used by the client's own IT staff to exchange data between the tracking system and existing CRM, ERP and accounting systems. Alternately clients can contract with BellHawk Systems to implement these interfaces for them using BellHawk Systems' automated interface generation tools.

A key factor is keeping costs down is that BellHawk Systems and its partners are able to provide just the software modules, equipment and services that each client needs to solve their specific problems. We strongly recommend that clients start small, in one area and then expand their system as they gain experience with deploying and using real-time tracking solutions.

We deliberately try to minimize the scope of our initial client engagements. We would rather have a successful small project than a failed large project because we know that then the client will join the BellHawk community and become clients for the life of their business.

A key factor in our success is working with partners to deliver solutions. Our partners are local or regional businesses with owners who work in the business and have a vested interest in the success of each client. Many of these partners are members of the same Microsoft, Motorola, Sage and Inuit partner programs with which BellHawk Systems works very closely.
