BellHawk Systems offers
three external interfaces to a BellHawk system:
1. A
business process interface (BPI) called
the Bell Connector that translates
between the activity based world of the factory and warehouse to the
business process oriented world of the frontoffice. Bell Connector
monitors selected data objects in a source database and then
automatically makes corresponding changes in a target database when
changes occur in the source database. Bell Connector comes with a
standard Bell Adaptor for the BellHawk database. Bell Adaptors are
also under development for AccPac, QuickBooks and a number of other
accounting and ERP systems. Bell Connector is also available for
those developers who are familiar with VB.Net and wish to develop
their own interfaces.
2. An
applications programming interface (API) called
DEX, for data exchange interface. DEX is used by external programs
to exchange data with BellHawk. DEX isolates the external programs
from the details of the BellHawk database and insulates these programs
from changes that may take place in the BellHawk database.
3.
Import and export of comma delimited
files. Typically these are Excel .CSV files which are used to manually
import and export data.
