BellHawk  Software Modules

A BellHawk system consists of an Inventory Tracking System module and/or a Production Tracking System module plus other optional modules as detailed here. These modules can be added as a field upgrade when customers are ready to use them. The prices shown here are for monthly subscription fees to use the software on a Windows Server provided by the client in their own facility or at an off-site secure data center.

In addition there is a $25/month free for each transactional date entry device (such as a PC equipped with a barcode scanner or a mobile computer equipped with an integral barcode scanner) used to capture information about material movement or labor utilization. There are no per-user or per-seat fees to use the BellHawk software but clients do have to pay for any monthly subscription fees for the use of a commercial hosting service (in the Cloud).

Inventory Tracking System (BH-MTS) $200/Month: Tracks materials by lot, serial number and expiration date and by nested container and location. Tracks entry, put away and withdrawal of materials in stock room and warehouses. Also tracks receiving and shipping of materials. Includes the ability to find the locations of materials and to do “cycle-counting” checking and adjustment of inventory.

Production Tracking System (BH-PTS) $200/Month: Tracks status and location of jobs/batches in real-time as they move from operation to operation. Tracks elapsed time and labor on job steps, including allocating labor between multiple jobs worked on at the same time. Enables entry and setup of jobs and work orders, including printing of barcoded job travelers. Includes ability to enter or import bills of materials and routes. Tracks work-in-process, scrap and rework. Tracks use of materials on job steps, return of unused materials, and production of finished or intermediate products. Includes ability to track assembly, test, repair and non-manufacturing operations.

Product Labeling (BH-TAG) $75/Month: Automatically generates labels for incoming materials and for finished product packaging that has unique tracking barcode plus user specified information in human readable format. Enables automatic generation of labels for products and labels in client specific formats. Eliminates mistakes from manual entry of data for generating labels. Integrates with BarTender Automation from Seagull Scientific for label layout and printing labels on a wide range of barcode label printers and RFID tag encoders.

Purchase Order Receiving Module (BH–PO) $50/Month: Enables entry of supplier purchase orders or advanced shipment notices (ASNs) for the receipt of customer owned materials. Generates barcoded POs that can be sent to suppliers by Email and also used as a barcoded receiving sheet. Tracks receipt of materials against supplier purchase orders or ASNs. Requires MTS.

Customer Order Picking, Packing and Shipping Module (BH–SO) $75/Month: Enables entry of customer orders; records picking, packing and shipping of customer orders; provides the ability to print out barcoded picking/packing sheets; picks materials against customer orders; warns if wrong item or quantity being picked or packed; works with serialized items and containers having "license plate" tracking barcodes as well as loose items in barcoded bins. Pick orders show location of materials to be picked in oldest–first order on mobile computer screens. Requires MTS.

Inventory Auditing (BH-IAM) $50/Month:Enables auditing inventory without shutting down operations. Enables recording inventory on a location by location basis. Produces inventory discrepancy report and tracks actions by materials manager to resolve discrepancies. Supports “blind” inventory auditing. Automatically resolves discrepancies for inventory that has “walked”. Requires MTS

Quality Assurance (BH-QC) $50/Month: Tracks quality control status of inventory and work-in-process and prevents use or shipment of defective materials. Allows quality department to pass or fail materials with recording of reason codes. Handles lot-based and statistical inspection. Tracks movement of materials needing inspection and prevents movement to non-quarantine locations. Also tracks materials needing material review activities. Requires MTS. Typically Used with PO, SO and PTS

Materials Traceability (BH-TRACE) $50/Month: Builds electronic materials traceability database. Tracks what materials from which suppliers and lot numbers went into each product, enabling rapid trace-back from defective products to source components and their suppliers. Also gives ability to trace forward to find all products that may be defective as a result of defective source or intermediate materials. Requires MTS and PTS. Typically used with PO and SO

Machine Tracking Option (BH–MTO) $50/Month: provides capability to setup resources (typically machines) by work center and then track the setup time, run–time, down–time, and cleanup time for each resource on a job/batch step using scanning on a PC equipped with a barcode scanner. Includes screen to show real–time status of resources. Also enables setting up "run group" of jobs to be run as a group with common input materials on a machine. Requires PTS; run-group feature requires MTS.

Activity Based Job Costing (BH-ABC) $50/Month: computes the cost of jobs and batches based on the labor and materials consumed in the production of materials. Compares planned versus actual at the job step and batch level. Can be used as the basis of exporting cost data back to ERP systems. Requires PTS and MTS.

Kit Picking (BH-KIT) $50/Month: Generates barcoded picking sheet based on materials needed for a job step. Records picking of materials into a tote and then enables scanning of kit into job step in one transaction. Requires MTS and PTS.

KanBan Replenishment (BH-KANBAN)  $50/Month: Generates barcoded kit picking sheet based on the scanning of barcoded KanBan cards. Records the picking of the kit and the replenishment of the KanBan bins. Tracks KanBan cards to avoid problems with lost cards and enables replenishment from warehouse as well as floor-stock locations. Requires MTS.

Project Tracking (BH-PROJ) $25/Month: Allows purchased and produced materials, as well as jobs, to be assigned to projects. Warns users if they attempt to mix materials from different projects or to use materials from a different project on a job. Normally used with PO, MTS and PTS.

Available Inventory Tracking (BH–AIT) $50/Month: Tracks available inventory; takes into account physical inventory plus inventory on order or being made less inventory to be consumed in making products as well as inventory to be shipped against orders or sales forecasts. Normally used with MTS, PTS, PO and SO

Pull-Based Inventory Management (BH-PBIM) $75/Month: Performs Materials Requirements Planning based on customer orders, jobs to be performed, inventory on-hand and materials on order. Generates jobs and purchase orders to produce or purchase needed materials based on specified lead times. Includes ability to incorporate sales forecasts and multi-level bills of materials. Requires AIT.

Shipping Dock Option (BH–SDO) $50/Month: assigns orders to shipment; manages shipments and truck arrival at dock; checks that correct materials are loaded onto truck; records which cartons or pallets go onto which truck; produces bills of lading and manifests for shipments; records shipments of orders. Requires SO.

Third Party Logistics Support (BH–3PL) $30/Month: Enables shipping using an unlimited number of "doing–business–as" (DBA) names over the one company name provided with base systems. The selected DBA Name and Address appears on the Picking/Packing Slip and on Shipping Labels )with TAG module). Requires MTS.

BSAF Wireless Interface (WH-BSAF) $100/Month: Provides wireless interface for mobile computers running the BellHawk wireless store and forward software. This enables operation of mobile computers in environments with limited communications coverage and/or have electrical interference. Requires MTS.

BSAF Cradle Mode Interface (WH-BSAFC) $100/Month: Provides cradle mode interface for mobile computers running the BellHawk store and forward software without using wireless communications. This enables operation of mobile computers in situations where the use of wireless communications are precluded because of security, hazardous environment, or cost considerations. Requires MTS.

Weighing Scale Interface (BH–WSI) $50/Month: Provides an interface to automatically capture data from networked weighing scales. This may need to be customized to work with specific weighing scale interfaces and protocols. Requires MTS.
