Ruggedized mobile computers with integral barcode scanners work well for materials handling applications, such as in warehouses and stock rooms. But they do not work as well for applications such as QC and in Laboratories, where more data entry is required, because of their small physical screens. It is for these applications that we support ruggedized tablets.

The Mobile Demand T7000 is a ruggedized Windows 7 based tablet that has a built-in short-range imaging barcode scanner and has a numeric keypad. It has a 32 Gigabyte solid state hard drive and a 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN card. This unit is ideal for applications such as quality control and use in laboratories where a larger touch screen makes for easier data entry. The on-screen keyboard works very well but an optional bolt-on QUERTY keyboard is available.
