BellHawk Systems Corporation is a small regional company that applies technology to solve operational problems for its industrial clients. We are seeking a manufacturing engineer, industrial engineer, or industrial information technology specialist to propose technology solutions and assist in their implementation.
We sell operations solutions consisting of software modules that were developed by our own experts, equipment from leading manufacturers such as Motorola, Zebra, Honeywell, and Intermec, plus a full range of professional services. We have a significant number of happy clients including manufacturers, food processors and defense contractors, mostly located in New England. We also have a significant number of prospective clients who approach us for help, as a result of our advertising.
The problems we solve include inventory and production tracking and scheduling as well as materials traceability and quality assurance. Most solutions include the replacement of paper forms and manual keyboard data entry with barcode and RFID based tracking and the use of mobile computers and Internet-based technology.
Take industrial operations problem, documented by an operations consultant, and prepare a quotation/proposal for the implementation of a solution, including BellHawk software modules to be used, barcode/RFID equipment and supplies to be used, customizations to be made to BellHawk software, implementation off interfaces to ERP, CRM and other systems, as well as installation, training and support services.
Make presentation on proposed solution to senior management teams within industrial organizations. This may be over the Internet or done in person.
Setup and give demonstrations as to how BellHawk software may solve a prospective client’s problem.
Answer prospect’s questions and resolve issues that may arise.
Work with operations consultant to close sale.
Work with existing clients who need to upgrade their systems to take their operational problem and determine what software modules, customizations, interface integration and support services are required.
Work with programming staff to determine estimated cost of customizations, reports, systems integration, and support services.
Act as liaison with software staff and clients to ensure that projects are carried out successfully. This may include participating in the installation and go-live of systems for clients.
Desired background: experience as a manufacturing engineer, industrial engineer or IT professional in manufacturing or other industrial organization. Must also have good interpersonal skills as well as good ability to write and give presentations. We will provide training on software and equipment technologies.
All of our staff members work from their own home offices, so you will need to provide a suitable home office. Much of our contact with customers is over the phone, by Email and through remote Internet-based presentations. But you will need visit customer plants throughout New England. For this you will need to have your own automobile and be able to climb stairs within industrial plants in order to understand customer requirements.
