Biography of Dr Peter Green

Dr. Peter Green was one of the founders of BellHawk Systems. He serves as its President as well as the company's Chief Technology Officer. In this role he is responsible for the strategic market direction of the company as well as directing the day to day technology development.

Dr. Green is a recognized expert in the use of materials tracking and traceability technology to improve product safety and the operational efficiency of industrial organizations. This includes expertise in developing software to use technologies such barcode printing , scanning, RFID, mobile data collection and the Internet.  He is also an expert in the integration of real-time distributed computer systems.

Dr. Green is an interdisciplinary expert who combines an in-depth knowledge of information technology with a breadth of knowledge and experience in manufacturing, inventory tracking, food and drug processing, as well as defense contracting and supply chain management.

Dr. Green has led the successful implementation of over 100 tracking systems for his clients. He has also led many other systems integration projects, which have ranged from accounting systems and the development commerce websites to the implementation of complex process control systems. He is an experienced project manager and systems architect and has served as principal investigator on a number of Government funded research projects. By avocation he is a systems theorist who studies the interaction of people and technology.

EDUCATION: Ph.D. in Electronics and Computer Science; B.Sc. (Honors) in Electronic Engineering, both from Leeds University, which is one of the leading technical universities in England.

EXPERTISE: Dr. Green is a systems architect who is an expert in the implementation of distributed real-time computer systems. He is an expert in the development of computer software for materials tracking and traceability systems as well as for operations management, scheduling and planning systems. He is an expert in barcode, wireless and RFID technologies as well as the application of rules-based decision making to manufacturing and production control. Dr Green is an experienced project manager who has an in-depth understanding of the business as well as the technology issues involved in implementing mission-critical systems. Dr. Green is also a systems theorist who is an expert in analyzing the interaction of people, technology and market forces.

Dr. Green is a US Citizen and has held Secret level security clearance. He is a member of APICS and the IEEE and gives frequent talks on using technology to solve operational problems to professional groups and at conferences.
