Applications of BellHawk
Tracking and Traceability Software

BellHawk Systems has well over 50 tracking and traceability installations to its credit. The BellHawk software is especially suited for use in those applications where:

1.   Human health and safety is directly or indirectly affected. Applications include food processing and distribution, pharmaceutical and medical equipment, biotechnology and other areas concerned with health and human safety such as aerospace and automotive parts manufacturing. BellHawk tracks which raw materials are mixed or assembled into each item or batch of finished goods and can track materials from the start of the production line through to when the finished goods are packed or labeled

2.    Integrated tracking of materials is required between production lines and warehouses or stock–rooms. These situations typically occur when the manufacturing facility has a warehouse or stock room attached in which materials tracking also needs to be performed.

3.   Customization is required, such as in special scanning sequences to minimize the operator time in capturing data. BellHawk is designed for customization and BellHawk Systems specializes in rapidly and cost–effectively implementing solutions that are tailored to the needs of each specific organization.

4.    Collection of activity based costing data is required for an ERP or accounting system. BellHawk can capture labor hours, materials consumed, materials scrapped, and machine hours for setup, run, down and cleanup for each job step. It can compute the cost of manufacturing a product and/or feed the cost elements back to the ERP or financial system.

5.    Collection of quality control, test and process data information for the automated generation of Certificates of Analysis is required.

6.   Integration with process control and test equipment is required. Here BellHawk serves to integrate the test and process data with manually entered data into a complete traceability record.

7.   Integration with RFID Equipment is required. This includes recording the movement of work–in–process and generating RFID tags for finished goods.

8.   Integration with weighing scales for weighing out materials to be added to mixes or doing count by weight operations is required.

9.   Automated production of custom product and packing labels is required, including integration with automated print and apply systems. This includes packing, labeling, RFID tag encoding and data submission to support Department of Defense Military Standards 129 and 130.

10.  Real–time error detection and operator warning is required. BellHawk can warn operators when they attempt to use the wrong materials or equipment or attempt to use materials that have not passed inspection. BellHawk can also prevent the use of the wrong equipment or prevent unqualified personnel from performing specific operations.
