BellHawk collects direct labor on jobs as well as indirect labor for such items as training, holidays and vacation. It can also capture data as to when employees clock-in and clock-out.
This labor data can be exported to ERP, accounting, payroll and Human Resources Information Systems. It can be used as part of product cost calculations and can also be used as part of overhead rate calculations, such as for DCAA and other Government agency audits.
The BellHawk Production Tracking software uses barcode scanning to record when employees start work and end work on job steps. This can be recorded by the individual employee or as a member of a team. BellHawk also allocates labor across job steps when employees are working on more than one job at the same time (such as tending multiple machines running different jobs).
BellHawk is not a replacement for a human resources information or payroll system. It simply collects the time employees spend on different activities by the hour using barcode scanning. This data can then be exported to ERP, accounting, human resources and payroll systems.
As the labor data is captured using the same barcode scanning devices as are used to track materials, this results in convenience for the employee and a cost savings in purchasing time-clock terminals. This can also save time for employees as they do not have to wait to use a shared time-clock to clock-in and clock-out. Instead they can clock-in and clock-out directly at the station where they perform their work.
Touch-screen labor data recording devices can be integrated with BellHawk so as to capture this labor data and then feed it to an ERP, accounting, human resources or payroll system.
