The tracking data is collected in a real-time database server where it is accessible to supervisors, managers, and customer service people. The data collected may also be exported to an accounting system or ERP system as transactions or as incremental consumption of labor, machine time, and materials on jobs and the resultant production of materials.

A major feature of BellHawk is that data is extensively validated as it is being input by the user to help ensure that only correct data is collected and that users do not make operational mistakes. This data validation is performed against data stored in a local data base in each wireless mobile computer or by PCs using data stored in the database server.

For printing out barcode labels and RFID tags, BellHawk is closely integrated with the BarTender Enterprise software. Using this interface, BellHawk can automatically print out labels, on demand, based on the data stored in the BellHawk database. This enables BellHawk to support printing and tag encoding using a wide range of barcode printers.

BellHawk integrates both inventory and work-in-process tracking into one system, which is critically needed for most tracking and traceability solutions.
